Chapter 10

Yvette was momentarily taken aback by the offer and was about to decline. However, Amelia wasn't going to let her say no. She promptly pulled out her phone and sent her the contact details. "I met him before he left the country. He's incredibly good-looking. Even if there's no romantic connection, being friends would be worthwhile." Feeling unable to resist such genuine kindness, Yvette eventually accepted Amelia's suggestion. Yvette was surprised when she clicked on the contact information Amelia had sent her, only to find out she was already friends with that person. She opened the profile to investigate. There were no descriptions attached. The profile picture was just a crescent moon on a black background, and the username was simply two letters, X.J. Yvette paused, trying to recall when she had added this individual as a friend, but she couldn't remember. She decided not to inquire further and calmly turned off her phone screen, acting as if nothing unusual had occurred.
