After all, forcing something that wasn't meant to be would only lead to resentment. And besides, Teresa couldn't maintain the marriage anymore.
Even if she hadn't brought up divorce, Cameron would have done so after she gave birth to their second child. But she no longer wanted to be just a tool to bear children or a caged bird.
Watching Teresa's tears fall, Gary felt his heart aching. Aside from offering comfort and gently wiping her tears, he didn't know what else he could do.
After Rosalie ran onto the stage, Cameron didn't follow immediately. Instead, his gaze drifted to the side, where he happened to see Gary gently wiping Teresa's tears. The two stood so close that from Cameron's angle, they almost seemed to be leaning into each other.
Just then, Cecilia, who had changed out of her gown, walked over with Rosalie.
"Cam," she called softly and gently.
Cameron snapped out of his thoughts and turned to Cecilia with a gleeful look in his eyes. "Hey."
