Chapter 31
Teresa parked her car outside the Langdon Group building and waited for a long time. She watched as employees streamed out of the office, but Cameron was nowhere to be seen.
Growing impatient, she decided to call him. Just as she unlocked her phone, she saw the message Cameron had sent that morning, asking her to take Rosalie to school. But she had been busy earlier and hadn't seen it.
Now, thinking back, she couldn't help but feel worried about Rosalie. After all, her daughter had always been competitive and loved being the best at everything. If she had been late for school this morning, she would have cried and been terribly upset.
The thought made Teresa's heart clench.
By not taking Rosalie to school, Teresa knew her daughter would resent her even more and likely feel that Cecilia was better suited to be her mother.
But why should that weigh on her? After all, they were the ones who abandoned her, not the other way round.
At that moment, the entrance to Langdon Group opened,
