Yvonne sat staring blankly into space in the CEO's office at Shore Rise Holdings.

It had been two days since she initiated the breakup, and Nathaniel still hadn't contacted her.

Upon thinking back on how distant he had become over the past few days, she couldn't help but feel that she had missed something important.

Distracted, she burned her lips on the steaming tea. As the cup slipped from her hand, hot liquid spilled all over her.

Just then, the office door opened. 

Louie, dressed in formal business attire, walked in. He quickly grabbed some tissues from the table and began blotting the tea off her clothes. "That's so careless of you, Yvie."

Yvonne shook her head. "I'm fine." She then changed the subject. "Did the employee sign the letter of understanding?"

Louie beamed and opened his arms to hug her. "Thank you, Yvie. If it weren't for you covering the 300 thousand compensatio

Just as Yvonne was furiously kicking the gate of Nathaniel's villa, Louie's voice sounded from a distance.

"Yvie! You said you were going to meet a client. Why are you at Nathaniel's house?" Louie demanded, his expression dark. 

In truth, he had secretly followed her after she left.

So, she still hadn't let go of Nathaniel.

Louie grabbed Yvonne tightly, his possessiveness practically oozing from his eyes.

Upon seeing Louie, Yvonne calmly pushed him away. "I have something I need to talk to him about," she mentioned.

"Are you regretting the breakup?"

"No." Without another word, Yvonne turned and drove away, not even bothering to explain anything.

Louie watched her car disappear into the distance with his fists clenched. He hadn't expected that Yvonne hadn't completely cut ties with Nathaniel even after breaking up.

It was clear to him that, with Yvonne's help, Louie had successfully joined her company.

With just half a day left before leaving Shoretown, Nathaniel quietly waited at home for officials from the city's Human Resources Bureau to come reclaim the villa.

To his surprise, he received a call from Yvonne first.

"Nathaniel!" She sounded frantic. "Louie got into a conflict with someone at the company and hit them. They're going to your hospital for an injury assessment. If the injury is serious, Louie could face criminal charges. 

"You're the head of emergency—please, you have to help us. Just make sure the injury is at the lowest severity."

Nathaniel was so infuriated that he laughed. "He's the one who started the fight. Don't drag me into it. I'm not doing something illegal and immoral like that."

Yvonne snapped, "Are you seriously still hung up on everything that happened? Do you think the whole world owes you something?"
"I don't care what you say—I'm not helping. What you're asking for is illegal, and it's not fair to the employee who got hurt. If you've got nothing else to say, I'm hanging up."

"You're a coward of a man!" Yvonne roared. "I finally see you for who you really are. You wanted to break up, didn't you? Fine! Consider it official!"

Nathaniel instantly responded, "Come back right now and get your things."

"Heh, fine. Just don't regret it."

However, Yvonne didn't come back herself. Instead, she hired a few movers.

Nathaniel supervised them while they packed and moved all of her belongings to Louie's place.

As he looked around at the now-empty home, a peaceful smile appeared on his face.

It was finally over. The five-year relationship had run its course, and he had no regrets. He had repaid the Cole family's kindness. From now on, he would live for himself.

Just as the movers finished clearing Yvonne's things, officials from Shoretown's Human Resources Bureau arrived.

Nathaniel walked them through the property inspection.

When everything was done, they changed the locks on the house.

Right then, he received a call from the organization.

"Nathaniel, all your documents have been approved. Congratulations! You meet all the requirements."

Nathaniel let out a deep sigh of relief. 

Over the past seven days, he'd been worried the process wouldn't go through.

The woman's voice on the phone then took a more serious turn. "For final confirmation, have you cut all ties with Shoretown? We're about to initiate your identity cancellation."

"Yes. I don't have any family left here. I've broken up with my ex. There's nothing holding me back," Nathaniel replied.

"Good. The car will arrive shortly. Please wait at the entrance to your area."

After hanging up, Nathaniel took one last look at the house he had lived in for five years.
He gave it a small wave goodbye.
