Just as Noah and Emily were urging Minerva to get some rest, the phone in the room suddenly rang. After listening to the voice on the other end, their expressions turned serious in an instant. They quickly got dressed and prepared to leave, calling out to Minerva, "Minnie, get some sleep. We'll be back as soon as we've handled this." Minerva nodded, reminding them to be careful on the way. But once they left, they were gone for three whole days. It wasn't until Minerva saw a breaking news report on TV that she finally understood why they hadn't returned. A car passing through a war zone had been caught in a crossfire. Thankfully, no lives were lost. Since part of the conflict zone fell within the country where Noah and Emily were stationed and because the injured visitors were from their home country, they were tasked with checking on the victims. Originally, their job was simply to confirm everyone was safe and urge them to evacuate, but one of the injured had fallen unconscious.
