Chapter 5
Since the kidney transplant, my health was not as it was before; I was constantly suffering. Even just sitting in the ward and exchanging a few words with my father would make my head spin.
My father's surgeon would always check on me whenever he came for my father's rounds. Each time, the doctor would remind me not to overwork myself and to take good care of my health, to which I would always nod.
After all, I used my kidney in exchange for my father's health. It was not a bad deal. And thankfully, my father's condition had been improving.
My father woke up five days after his surgery. When he saw my pale complexion, he teared up and murmured repeatedly, "I'm so sorry."
