Chapter 1

When we were out for a walk, Anna and I were attacked by Rogue at the same time. After being rescued, I went to the witch doctor's tent for treatment, but I heard two familiar voices at the corner. One voice was sweet and charming: "Kyle, my wound is still aching, you touch it." The other voice was Kyle, whom I love deeply: "Let me see. Adele would be worried about you if she knew you were so badly injured." Kyle's eyes were full of concern, and his palm gently touched the wound under Anna's chest. I stood in the dark, watching this scene, my heart was broken. He always thinks of others like this but doesn't know how sad I am. Yesterday, Anna and I went out for a walk together, and accidentally reached the Pack border. I suggested going back, but Anna said that the border that has been peaceful for decades will be fine. She also said that as the future Luna, I should be bolder. I was usually calm, but her look of contempt at that moment aroused my desire to win, so I stopped insisting. But a moment later, a few smelly Rogues suddenly appeared and pounced on me and Anna. After I came back, the people in the Pack looked at me with strange eyes, whispering that something must have happened after I was kidnapped by the Rogues, otherwise why would Kyle always be so distant from me. I didn't want to argue, because Kyle said he would clarify everything at the full moon banquet. The Omega who passed by greeted me, and his voice interrupted their private conversation. Kyle turned around and saw me, and panic flashed in his eyes. Then he smiled and greeted me. I walked closer step by step, raised my hand and punched the tree next to Kyle, and Kyle looked at my red palm with heartache. I shook my hands to relieve the pain and asked calmly: "Kyle, how come the wound on Anna's arm is visible on her chest?" Anna rushed over to stand in front of Kyle, "I also bumped my chest, Kyle just helped me take a look, he and I grew up together, it's not too much to be close, right?" I turned to look at Kyle who was silent, hoping that he could explain, but he just stopped Anna and hugged me. "Don't cry, my Adele. I'm just checking Anna's wound, you are the most important person to me." His voice was full of pity. Anna sobbed, "Kyle, you clearly said you would always take care of me." Kyle said gently: "Adele is my mate, she will always be the first in my heart." My tears fell uncontrollably, not because of anger, but because of heartache. There was a feeling of powerlessness like punching cotton, although my fist was still aching. Anna smiled in an ambiguous way, and that smile chilled my heart. "Does she know that she will bear the shame? Who would want a female who was kidnapped by Rogue?" Kyle trembled all over, his face pale. "Kyle did it for me, he was afraid that I would be talked about. Adele, I will be injured when I go out for physical training with him, and you... are the one who was really kidnapped by Rogue. Anyway, your reputation in the Pack is already tarnished." I struggled in Kyle's arms, and he kept saying sorry with red eyes. "Is Anna so important?" I asked softly, my voice full of grievance. He was silent for a long time, and gently wiped my tears: "Anna has been my playmate since she was a child, and I promised to protect her. But Adele, you are my mate, the person I cherish most."
