8 WHAT A FAMILY
KAREN'S POV
I nodded with a smile as I watched him jump in excitement. Immediately, he picked up his phone and called one of the best tailors in town for our wedding attire.
He contacted one of the most expensive and best tailor for couples.
Thomas & Tony are well-known for their bespoke tailoring, and their ability to create a stunning wedding attire tailored to our specific preferences and measurements.
We had planned for a European style wedding outfit.
I had to schedule appointments in advance to discuss our style, fabric choices, and other specific details.
Additionally, we had to inquire about the timeline for fittings and completion to ensure everything was ready for our special day.
“Hey, man. How are you doing?” Thomas, the tailor, greeted Max when we went to his store.
“It's finally happening, Tom. I found the woman of my dreams.” He said to Thomas.
“Is this her? Damn! She is really a thing. I mean, she's pretty and all. She's got the face of a model. Is she a model? She's gorgeous.” Thomas complimented.
“Hi, Thomas. I've heard a lot about you. It's nice to finally meet you. I believe you'll get me an outfit that will make me stand out?” I asked.
“Definitely. You have nothing to worry about. I've got you guys covered. Not to waste much time, I think we'll start with the shoes. Yeah?”
“Yes, it's a nice idea. I love that. I think I'll love to use a silver shoe.
“Perfecto! I have something that will blow your mind. Hold on.” Thomas said and went into another session of the large store, filled with shoes of various designs and colors.
As if he could read my mind, he soon returned with an elegant silver shoe that screamed wealth.
My mouth was wide open as he brought the shoes in and dangled it in front of me.
A dazzling silver shoe fit for a bride, indeed. It was a graceful silhouette adorned with intricate embellishments.
The shoe featured a classic peep-toe design, allowing a subtle glimpse of the pedicure beneath.
The metallic silver hue is elegant and versatile, catching the light with a subtle shimmer.
Delicate straps criss crossed over the foot, providing both support and a touch of glamor.
The heel was modest yet stylish, allowing for comfort during the day's festivities.
The silver shoe was adorned with subtle floral lace, adding a hint of romance to each step.
This enchanting silver shoe is not just an accessory; it's a statement piece that complements the yet-to-be-seen bridal gown.
I squealed in delight as I slipped my warm legs into the shoes. Just like magic, it fitted me perfectly.
I walked majestically to see myself fully in the mirror. I smiled widely at the realization that I would make a very bright and beautiful bride. I did a quick 360⁰ and laughed out loud.
“Oh my goodness! It actually fits me so well. This is more than pretty. I actually had other thoughts about the size.
“You have nothing to worry about once you're here. I have everything ready for your big day.
Now that we've settled your shoes, let's get you something nice for your gown. If I am right, European style, right?” He asked
“Yes. European.” I giggled with excitement.
“Not to bore you with countless talks, but I must let you know what we have.
We have a Ball gown, a Mermaid dress which is a South European style, Tea - length dress, a Bohemian, A - line dress ...name it. We have it all in stock.
Go through the iPad and select your choice. You don't have to rush through it at all. We've got all day. In the meantime I'll attend Max,” Thomas said.
I nodded and watched him lead Max into another room meant for the groom.
Shopping for my own wedding gown felt like a dream. A dream came true.
I never imagined a day like that would even come.
After fifteen minutes of scrolling back and forth, I settled with the Mermaid dress. I loved the way it fitted on the body, tightly with the free flow at the end.
I wanted to make a bold entry, so I chose something that would speak boldly. By the time Max and Tom came back, I was done picking.
Max looked super handsome in his attire. He came out wearing a three piece suit that took my breath away.
His suit jacket was a classic deep navy two-button single breasted jacket.
Blue navy for a timeless and sophisticated look.
It was a high quality wool blend for comfort and breathability. It also had a peak lapel for a touch of elegance.
Flap pockets were on both sides and a welt pocket on the chest.
The buttons were genuine horn buttons for a refined finish.
Not only that, the waistcoat was single breasted with a pointed bottom.
It had a matching deep navy blue to complement the suit jacket.
The fabric was meant to coordinate the wool blend to maintain a cohesive look. The front had five button closure for a classic appearance.
The back, adjustable strap for a tailored fit and the pockets, jetted pockets for a polished finish.
My eyes traveled down to the trousers which were made in a classic flat front tailored style.
It also completed the color of the waistcoat and jacket. It had the deep navy color, same high quality wool blend for consistency.
It was tailored to fit for a modern look. It had side pockets and black welt pockets for a clean silhouette.
The hem was tailored with a slight break for a polished appearance.
The shirt was crisp white with a spread collar and French cuffs.
A silk necktie accompanied it, in a subtle pattern that complements the overall look.
Coordinating pocket square for a dash of style, elegant cufflinks to add a refined touch.
Classic black leather Oxford shoes and a Sophia wristwatch for a finishing touch made him exceptionally good looking.
“Tom! What have you done to my sweetheart? Are we getting married today?” I screamed.
“You are welcome ma'am.” Tom replied with a wide smile on his face. He signaled to one of the girls, and instructed her to get us some wine.
“How do I look?” Max teased me
“You look like my favorite bowl of food. I can consume you right away.
You made my heart stop beating. I mean, you are breathtaking. Tom really did a good job.” I said.
I showed them the design I picked for my dress and Tom requested that I return after two days for the fitting.
The dress was available, but had to do the finishing touching like adding the tiny shiny stones and the embroidery.
Happily, we left the store to get other things. On our big day, everyone marveled at the elegance of my dress. It fitted perfectly as if I was born with it.
Only my husband's parents had looks of contempt and disgust on their faces while every other person present wore happy expressions.
