Chapter 2 His Child?

"Will, where has our love gone? It's okay if you treat me this way, but not to my family members." Emma was wrapped in the blanket at the corner, shivering. She was questioning this man who she loved, who was staring at her with simmering anger. No affection could be traced in his eyes. "Hmmm?" Love? Don't try to change the subject. Sign it now!" Will sneered coldly. Love? Was the woman joking? Was she in any position to talk about love? "Please, I love you only. Why do you want to leave me?" Emma said with red eyes, tears were drying, which made her eyes sore and numb. She crawled towards him on her knees sliding over on the cold mosaic floor. "You are just a hypocrite. Don't think I have no idea that what you want is just money. But I won't let you have a penny!" Will raised his foot and kicked her belly resentfully. She hummed a voice quietly and fell on the floor with her hands on the belly, shivering. He even rushed forward to grab her hand forcefully to let it hold a pen and to sign her name at the last page. "Give it to me!" Will said with gritted teeth, while increased force in his hand. Her hair was dangling back and forth, the wet hair was stuck to her cheeks. She struggled to get away, but her wrist turned red out of his snatch. Nobody could tell what the original color was there. "No." She shouted at last and then fainted at the moment while only the darkness in front of her eyes, falling heavily onto the floor, motionlessly. However, she was still holding the pen tightly, no matter how hard he tried to take it away from her hand. "Damn, bitch, damn. You fake death in order to avoid from signing." Will paused for a second, thought she was just pretending on purpose. After all, she had used all the tricks, same with that time too. He lifted his foot and kicked her belly twice to release his anger, but then he saw the blood was flowing slowly below her body, tainted the blanket, which was dazzling contrasting to the white mosaic floor. "Emma? Say something!" He was shocked, and squatted to pat her pale cheek fast. the woman was in deep sleep with faint breath, motionless. He stood up to get the crumpled agreement and was about to leave, thinking to himself to deal with it some other day. But when he walked towards the door in strides, he couldn't just walk away Because somehow he felt painful with mercy. At the end, he returned to carry the woman up and walked out of the house. When Emma woke up, she didn't see Will, but only white surroundings, including the blanket on her body, and infusion in her hand. She was lying there, feeling the pain at her belly, which made her unsettled. "Emma, you are awake! Do you know how worried I have been? You didn't tell me anything about such a big incident!" At that moment a man with worried look held her at the sickbed. He was Jeremy, her childhood friend and also her bestie. His gentle understanding countenance was always easy on the eyes, no matter when. "Why did you come?" Emma asked in her broken voice softly. "Jeremy, please help me ask the doctor what happened with me. Is it my belly which is aching severely, isn't it?" She was quite excited. There must have been something wrong with her, but the doctor didn't say anything. "Emma, calm down. I can tell you." Jeremy held her hand and tried to console her. His frowned eyebrows were trembling as he was afraid that to let her know the truth would make it even worse. "Tell me what in the world is going on!" She became anxious. "You are pregnant. You had a severe fever last night and the baby condition is not stable yet!" "What are you talking about?" She felt a cramp at the belly, which made her face twisted. She held her belly and curled her body up in bed. In a moment she couldn't believe it was the truth.
