Chapter 32: Crude Deal
Donald's POV
"Did I keep you waiting?"
Melissa squeezed her face on looking up at me. Sluggishly shook her head twice in a response to tell me NO, however, she jeopardized that decency by lashing out at me in her usual counterattacking manner.
"That means I should admit we are even! Now, I can greet you without hindrance and pride."
She rose from the chair and curtsied royally while murmuring along in a humble voice, "Good afternoon, Mr. Donald Don."
I almost drool from my lips but firmly poised to rebuke all her sarcasm, "Funny!" I snarled without responding to her gesture rather took my seat.
Having realized I was indifferent, she turned on that demonic side of hers again. With a sneer, she uttered without hindrance, "Your eyes were red and you looked meaner than when you left."
I held her statement within nor appeared mortified, instead, I fixated on the table. The dishes have been cleared except for the wines. In front of me was an opened booklet which I ignored and reply to her.
