Chapter 1

Wadsforth Company 10:00 am "It's yours," I sobbed "How can I be sure it's mine?" he raised his eyebrow while crossing his arms. "It is-" I bit my lower lip to prevent my voice from cracking. "If you think you can fool me again like what you did to Adam, well you're mistaken. I don't even know if that child you are bearing is mine and maybe you're just telling me you're pregnant because I'm rich, I have a lot of money. Tell me how much do you want and I'll give it to you instantly," he sternly said as he stood straight and eyed me from head to toe like he was disgusted to see me crying. I couldn't do anything but to cry in front of him, there was no emotion in his eyes. I wanted to slap him hard for the words he says but I can't do anything. I feel like I'm begging for someone without a heart. The man I left without a doubt and hurt had become a cold-hearted man. "If you're just here to scandalize, then you should already leave woman. You're wasting my time and time for me is money," he coldly said and gesture the door for me to leave. "I'll do anything, anything Marco just for the child please I'm begging you," I said desperately as the tears run down freely on my cheeks and my hands were held tight. "Just for the child," I whispered enough for him to hear. "anything?" he asked surely. "anything," I answered in a raspy voice. "Then be my slave, you shall do anything I command and that child is my answer," he stated as he looked at me. He can't deny to himself that he is still in love with her despite everything she had done. But he pushed those thoughts away and focus on the thing he wants to do, to revenge, that is all he wanted. "Do we have a deal," he asked and a playful grin showed on his face. She had no choice but to agree even though he would not believe it. "Deal" NEEDS EDITING, BEAR WITH THE ERRORS France, Monday 6:30 am MIRANA A cold wind welcomed me as I stepped out of the door. I looked around and there wasn't too many people coming out so I just walked to my place of work. I still need to save as much as I can to pay for rent and electricity, I want to have enough money to check with the doctor to find out my child's condition in my womb. But I can't do it because of lack of money, as it's all going to my rent. Suddenly I stopped, when I felt a slight dizziness and closed my eyes so it could be light, but my surroundings seemed to spin. I was just a few steps away to the nearest post so that Cello could suddenly come out. One of my best friends in this area and my co-worker too. He ran to where I was and immediately helped me. 'What happened to you, Mirana, and why are you so pale?" he asked, but I could not picture his face properly. He said something but I could not understand it and could not describe the movement of his mouth and the darkness swallowed my eyes. I was immediately shocked when I suddenly smelled hot near my lips and nose. I slowly opened my heavy eyes and smiled at Cello's worried face. 'How are you feeling, Mirana?" he asked with a worried look. 'I'm okay," I replied slowly and slowly got up from the bed as he supported me immediately. 'Mirana Vaughn! You make my beauty worried. It's hard for me to carry you, my beauty sucked, you don't know what made sunscreen and girl my moisturizer so expensive," he joked, making me smile. It doesn't suit him saying those words because his voice is as deep as a soldier's voice. 'And now you will laugh at my beauty?" he joked and pretended to wave his hair. 'Be a man Cel," I stated, but he just rolled his eyes on me. 'Celine," I said, and a smile plastered on his face satisfied calling him with that name. 'Celine," I said, and a smile plastered on his face satisfied calling him with that name. "Here eat this soup I cooked so that it doesn't affect the baby you are carrying. You are 5 months pregnant, please be afraid of what will happen to you and your child if you are not careful," he said I knew he was right but what could I do if even me have nothing. " You know my situation Cel," I answered I knew I would soon cry again. "That's it, I know what your situation is now and this is all I can say, go on whoever the father of the child you are is taking. So that you have no problem. It's just so easy, you know he's here, " he said, I knew Marco was here but I was reluctant to show my face after what I did. I don't know what the outcome would be if I showed him. "I don't know how he would react. What if he doesn't believe it?" I desperately ask I don't know what to think if that happened. It's better to make sure I don't tell her. But he has a right to know the truth and a right to be a father. "How do you know if you haven't tried it? I understand you Mirana but it's the child we are talking about here, nor can you take care of yourself emotionally as well as the baby in your womb. You can't even eat the right meal, what you always eat are those leftovers of the restaurant. Whatever Mirana please don't always be what you always think, what you bring with you is what you need to consider, "he said as he rubs his palm on his face. " I know Cel, thank you for your concern. I will think about it, " I said and he just gave a deep sigh, I knew he was miserable listening to my answers. "That's always been your answer Mirana you should do for your son," he said as I shed tears, unable to stop myself from crying in my situation. "I know Cel I know. Tomorrow I'll schedule a visit. I'm going to tell him everything," I said as I wipe my tears away. "I know it's hard for you, but you have to overcome it. Whatever will be the result is, I'm always at your side. Okay?" he said and embraced me. "Okay," I said between our hugs. "But Mirana I have something to tell but first you need to promise me that you'll not go mad," he said and I pulled out, question in my face. "Okay, I am not going to be mad. Tell me now," I said and his face became serious and I'm not sure where this heading is. "I'll be gone for a month maybe," he said in a low tone. "What? Why?" "Let me just finish first," he said and I nodded for him to continue. "I have to go back to the Philippines because yesterday my mother called me. I have to go there, they need me Mirana, my parents need me," he promised with a sadness in his voice. "You have to leave Cel, they need you. Don't worry about me here," I smiled and him. "You sure girl? I'll leave you the key to my house. In the meantime, you are free to live here. This is a much nicer home than where you live. Here there is a bed, water, and electricity. I paid all the bills here at home so you should come here while I am gone," he said and I smiled. "Thank you very much Cel, you helped me a lot " "Who else can help but us," he said and I can't hold my emotions anymore so I cried again. "You know sis we're so ever reacting so can we please stop the crying drama? I can't take it anymore," he chuckled and look at his wristwatch "Are you leaving now?" I asked as I gazed at the luggage behind her. And I noticed that he was dressed to the fullest. "Yes dear, can you do it yourself? I was going to say that I was leaving when I saw you almost dead on the pole," he said that we both laughed. "Yes, I can do it myself, don't worry about me," I said and he pulled me into an embrace. Before Cello left he instructed me first what to do or in case I was hungry and where to take a bath. I took her to the terminal even though she didn't want to. We said goodbye to each other before I returned to the house. Tomorrow I will see Marco, and tomorrow I will tell him everything and hopefully, the results will be good. I hope he will accept me into his life, together with the child I'm bearing. Even if he just accepts our son, I'm happy. His future is in good hands. I don't want my son to live in poverty. My child is much better with him than I.
