Chapter 425: Helping Out

Nelson stayed with Callie for a day, during which he didn't handle any business affairs. Most of the time, Callie lay in bed watching movies, with the curtains tightly drawn. Nelson held her by his side, occasionally glancing down at her focused expression, his eyes filled with infinite tenderness. At one point, Callie's phone rang. She kept her eyes on the movie and nudged him. "Can you get that for me?" The phone was on the bedside table. Nelson lazily reached for it and unlocked it, seeing an email that read: "Hello, congratulations on passing our second interview. The third interview is scheduled for Monday at 10 AM. Please be punctual." Nelson's expression darkened slightly. She didn't notice anything amiss and didn't look up. "What is it?" The man put the phone back and pinched her full cheek. "You're looking for a job." It was a statement. Callie paused mid-bite on her chips and half-joked, "I still want to stay in the industry. Just hope Mr. Oconnor won't cut off my path
