Spencer's body stiffened. He turned his head slowly to look at Mason lying beside him. Mason met his gaze. Their eyes locked. There was none of Mason's usual sarcasm or playful mockery. Only a bottomless, terrifying emptiness stared back at Spencer, with just a flicker of moisture in his eyes. "I mean…" Mason said with a sigh. "Spencer, I think I've fallen for Suzanne.
