Caprice lifted her plump face and hummed a reply. Maybe because the girl was hungry, she did not even need Sherry to carry her to the table. She crawled out of the couch, waddled her way to John, and reached out to him with her arms open, asking him to carry her up. John carried her up and placed her on the baby chair.
