Stealing the Eternal Stone
"Aurora made a mark on my arm—look." I rolled up my sleeve, revealing a faint, glowing blue rune etched into my skin, its light pulsing like a tiny heartbeat. "No matter where I escape, she’ll track me down with her siren magic. It’s a blood bond, tied to her life force." I said worriedly, my fingers brushing the mark as if I could wipe it away. "If we want to get rid of her completely, she must disarm the magic herself. But after we ruined her engagement party, humiliated her in front of the entire sea clan, I don't think she’ll help me—she’ll hunt us until we’re dead."
"So?" Black Wolf Baker raised one side of his eyebrows, a faint smirk playing on his lips as he leaned against a moss-covered coral pillar. "Have you thought of a way to escape *and* restrain Aurora for good? Or is this just a bargaining chip for when she catches up—begging her to spare you in exchange for something?" His tone was teasing, but his eyes were sharp, scanning our surroundings for any sign of siren guards.
