Chapter 6

Reyes' POV When I turned over on the bed, a loud moan escaped from my mouth. My head was pounding and I need a glass of water. I went out for a drink with my girls last night, even though I knew I probably shouldn't drink. Yesterday I was very angry with Nancy. I was her mate and she was not allowed to stop me from doing anything I like. I liked to drink and meet other girls for fun. That was a game but Nancy didn't understand me. Okay, I had gone too far this time when I got drunk. Once I calmed down, even though I realized that what I did was bad, and she just wanted to protect our son. I shouldn't try to beat him. I felt a little guilty about hurting Nancy, and she left me. I searched every room, but she was not there. I opened my eyes abruptly, and I immediately noticed that she was not with me, anymore. I looked around the room, my breath choked in my throat, and everything about Nancy was gone. She took away all the things she needed, and importantly, my baby. A loud and vicious roar escaped from my mouth, and my hands were clenched into fists. Everyone downstairs heard my roar and fell silent. After a while, I heard footsteps approaching the room. My mom, dad, and Beta Kain walked into the room, looking worried. They all scanned the room, and when my mother realized what had happened, she took a deep breath. " She left, taking my son. " I growled. My jaw was clenched, and my whole body was shaking. My dad snorted and made my head pounce at him. " It doesn't surprise me. " He said calmly. " Why? " I asked rudely. My dad laughed bitterly. " Because you are not her mate, you treat her as rubbish. You refuse to mark her, you only use her. Even, you beat her! I thought we taught you right and wrong, but obviously not! He answered angrily. His voice rose to yell, and he was looking straight into my eyes. This was something you should never do as an alpha. I took a step towards him and gave him a deadly gaze. " I'm your alpha, you won't talk to me like that! " I shouted. My father's eyes were full of anger. " That may be, but I am your father! " he shouted angrily. We were only a few steps away, and I knew that if my mother didn't put her hand on my father's chest, we would fight. At the last glance, my father walked out of the room, followed by my mother. Kain and I fell into a tense silence, but when he let out a quiet sigh, the silence was broken. " Is it true? " he asked in a low voice. I knew exactly what he was talking about, but I decided to pretend to be a fool. " Did you beat Nancy? " he asked cautiously. Kain had been my best friend ever since we wore diapers, and I told him everything. " Yes, it is true. " I answered calmly. Kain frowned, and for a moment I saw the anger in his eyes, but it quickly turned into normal. " Okay, okay, we should start working. We need to send a search team immediately to see if we can catch her smell. " He said in calm. I nodded in agreement. " Call a group meeting. I hope everyone will be there within twenty minutes. I'm going to talk to the two people who are most likely to know where she is. " I booked. Kain nodded and strode out of the room. Before going out, I looked around my son's room for the last time and closed the door behind me. Why didn't others prevent her from leaving? Didn't anybody see her leaving? Fuck! I tried to mind link her several times but there was no reply. I felt that I had missed something yesterday evening. I tried my best to search for the message she sent me. Yes, there was. She and our baby got into a trap last night. But I couldn't find her location now. How about her and my baby now? What happened to them? Just thinking of this made me horrified. I regretted it. I slammed my fist on the table, and a big hole appeared. I heard my inner wolf roaring frantically, and he was very anxious. I raised my hands and scratched my head vigorously. I didn't know what to do. I spent ten minutes in torment. Then Kain brought his news. "I found your SUV, the one she drove away."
