Chapter 374

After Giselle woke, she didn't rush to get out of bed. She closed her eyes and nestling further into Maverick's arms. He extended his arm and drew her closer into his embrace. She was clearly not awake, yet just such a simple act could touch one's heart. Feeling at peace, Giselle fell asleep in Maverick's arms. When she woke again, she was still being cuddled. But when she tilted her head, Maverick was already awake. He was half-leaning against the headboard, one arm draped over the back of Giselle’s neck, the other holding his phone, texting someone. As Giselle raised her head, he sensed her movements. Putting his phone away, he lowered his gaze to look at her. "You're awake." Giselle nodded her head, as she sat up, she rubbed his arm casually, "It’s numb, isn’t it?” Maverick replied, "It's alright." While talking, he pinched Giselle’s waist and lifted her up a little closer. Giselle was without clothes, which could slightly reveal a bit of her skin, she quickly pulled the quilt over
