Chapter 33 Can't Bear to See Catherine Cry
Catherine and Harry were so close that they would have kissed if they got any closer.
Yet, Catherine felt an extraordinary distance at such proximity.
Although she had shared a bed with him and married him, she never truly felt like he belonged to her.
She brushed his hand away, and her tone turned icy. "What do you really want?"
"Nothing. Let's just keep things the way they are now." Harry rose to his feet. His eyes lingered briefly on her stomach.
Her chest tightened. That was the second time he looked at her stomach.
Was he planning to harm the child?
He saw through her thoughts and sneered. "Relax. I have no interest in your child."
His words did nothing to reassure her. Her face hardened as she said, "You should go. Don't come here again."
He felt genuinely displeased at her dismissive tone and reminded her, "We're still legally married. This is still my home."
"Not for long." She shoved him toward the door and forced him out.
