Chapter 7
In the past, whenever Gavin and I fought, he would only come pick me up from my parents' house, bringing a gift and an apology, when things got really bad.
He stopped bothering over time. I could only return home on my own whenever I missed my children.
But now, I was no longer hopeful.
I struggled to drag the three large suitcases over to the neighborhood entrance. Just as I was waiting for a ride, the rain started pouring.
Left with no choice, I could only leave my suitcases with the security guard and run back home to get an umbrella.
The umbrella was just on the rack by the door. I was about to take it and leave when I overheard Gavin's call with someone else from the inside. "I'll just leave Tiffany be for a few days. I don't want to see her right now, anyway.
"You don't know how she's gotten more and more annoying in the past two years. She's just a plain housewife—nothing compared to Belle's gentleness and thoughtfulness. I really regret marrying Tiffany back then!"
