Chapter 18 My job in my hand

When I got back that Mercedes was not there. I look around but it wasn't here. Then i went inside. Cami was waiting for me. We both made breakfast and got ready for work. After that she drove me to the office. Then she left for her work. I was in front of Golden Company. I thought of our CEO and i got nervous. Specially when i remembered that i poured drink on his suit. I just crossed my fingers and wish that at worst i wont be fired. I went inside as i payed to god not to get me fired today. I went to the elevator and pressed my floor. Then i saw Olivia and Jessica coming towards the elevator. Wow what a great day. Now I'm sure it is going to be a bad day. My mood beacome worse. Then i clicked close button. When the door was closing they came running and before the elevator could close, they put their hand in between. The door opened again and they entered the elevator . And i was like hell could something be worse than this? "Hii Riley" Jessica said. "hi" "is it real ?" she asked. "what ? " i questioned her back. I don't know what she was talking about. "of course, it is true. I was there when she bath our ceo with her wine. Hahaha CEO was red with anger " Olivia said. "Ohh, what will happen to you then ? If our CEO was that angry, he may fire you. Oh i feel pity for you. " she showed me fake concern. But i felt a little scared about what she said. "Huh.... Pity ? She deserves this. She is such a country bumpkin. She don't even can walk properly. She always keep fallin. She don't deserve to be in this office. " Olivia said showing her true face. "Olivia, don't be rude. My foot got tripped on something and i fell. It was not intentional. " i tried to fight back. "who knows ? Who knows if it was intentional ? Maybe you saw two rich guys over there and you just can't control and throw yourself in their arm. " Olivia said. " Olivia, you.. " Before i could speak , the elevator door opened. In front was Mr Reid with a serious expression. "Good morning, sir" We bowed our head as we went out of elevator. He nodded and looked me " You stay . You two continue " he said looking at me. I stayed there confused. Olivia and Jessica left smiling. I looked at Mr Reid and asked "Is there anything, Sir? " Then I thought for a while then i opened my bag and take out money. I had already asked the hospital about my fee. Thankfully it wasn't much and i still could afford it. So i have kept the money in my bag thinking that I would give this to him when i saw him. I gave it to him " Sir my medical fees. I'm sorry that I couldn't give it to you earli...." "Do you think i lack money" he cut me off. I was surprised to hear what he said. "No sir. I didn't mean that. " i tried to explain. " then what do you mean? " he asked me looking straight at my eyes. "I... " "What did you did to Mr Gold? " he asked me. "What ? No...nothing" i said lowering my head. "Why is he angry then? " he lifted my face " look into my eyes and answer my question " "I.. Umm...i accidentally spilled my drink on him" i said. "what? " his eyes go wide. From his expression i was sure i was dead now. He really was going to fire me. " Come with me " he said moving towards elevator. " What ? where ?" i asked him. " He asked me to take up to his office " he said seriously. "...." "Do you want to be late and anger him more?? " he said looking annoyed. "No" i quickly followed him towards the elevator. He pressed 32 and stood in a side. I was so horrified inside. I was just hoping and praying he wouldn't fire me. I had have my finger crossed. Inside me, there was so much mess. I don't want to go to the CEO's office. I don't want to get fired. But we're elevator and it was going up. It was sure we will reach there no matter what. In a while we were in thirty two floor. 'Ding' with a sound the door of the elevator opened. Mr Reid went out of the elevator and i followed behind him There a a few people working on this floor. I looked around they were all boys working in this floor. As we went forward i saw Vice president's office and CEO's office. They were not that far. We went forward and stopped in front of a door and Mr Reid knocked the door. "Come in" He opened the door and walked inside. I followed behind him. Inside was a huge office. It was almost half of the floor. At the left side was tea table along with two big sofas around. And at right side was two different doors from the office. In the front was A table along with computer and some documents. Liam was there standing at a side. He was Mr Gold's secretary. In front of the computer was Mr Gold working there. He raised his head as we go in. As he looked at me I stop right there. I stood there nervous. I felt something inside me. I don't know what. I just kept looking at him. "Mr Gold, You wanted to see us " Mr Reid bowed in front of him. "It was specially Ms Wilson " Liam spoke first. I got scared as he said that. I went forward " I... I'm sorry. That was unintentional. " i said quickly as i bowed. "You may get up, Ms Wilson. Mr Gold is so kind. Even if you did so, he didn't fire you. " Liam spoke again. I looked at Mr Gold. He wasn't looking at us as we were not there. He was just working in his computer. "Thank you... Mr Gold. I will be careful in future. " i said. He didn't looked at me. He instead looked at Liam and signaled something. Liam went forward and get a file. Then he gave it to me. " It's on your own to save your work. This man is not paying back our money. If you can collect the money before office hour, your job is saved. " he said smiling. "Thank you. I'll be get going then. " i said bowing. Then i and Mr Reid fot out of his office.
