Chapter 22: The Confrontation  CELESTE "How thoughtful of you," Sophia said, moving to position herself between me and the office door.  "Though I'm afraid Xenois is dealing with a terrible headache right now. He asked not to be disturbed." "I'm sure he won't mind if it's me," I said, trying to step around her to go in and see my husband because there were a lot of things that I had to ask him now and one of them being why the hell Sophia was here. But Sophia's hand shot out, gripping my arm with surprising strength as she pulled me back, as she glared at me with her smile but a smile was still present on her lips.  "Actually, I think it would be better if you came with me for a moment.
