Chapter 26 He Doesn't Look Happy
Jane froze.
How would she answer this?
She could only pursed her lips and looked at Barren at a loss. The latter seemed to have received her call for help, but he didn't intend to help her. He just said lightly: "Jane, Mom asked you something, you have to help me clarify Testify, or I will be misunderstood."
He stared at her with deep eyes, and there seemed to be a hint of a smile in his eyes.
What does Barren mean by that?
He was clearly pushing her into the water.
Jane pursed her lips in embarrassment, and could only say flatly: "Mom, since Grandpa is fine, Barren and I will leave first. We made an appointment to go to the movies together."
Then he pulled Barren and walked out, followed by Barren's mother's voice: "Grandpa knows that you are going on a date, he will be happy and wake up right away."
It wasn't until they got into the car that Jane let go of Barren's hand.
