Chapter 39 Three Years of Marriage Felt Like a Show
Talia had moved into Abigail's place in a hurry. Aside from a few personal items and the bag she carried, she'd brought almost nothing with her.
When she left the hospital today, she'd used her bag to shield herself from the rain, but her clothes still got wet, and the ends of her hair were damp.
She didn't like leather bags—hers was a simple canvas one. Although it could block the rain, it had gotten soaked through, and it definitely wouldn't be dry in time for work tomorrow.
Most things were easy to replace, but this bag wasn't some brand-name item. She'd casually bought it from a roadside stall.
So how did Lucien manage to find an identical one?
Talia, feeling drained, realized she didn't even care to find out anymore.
Whether it was guilt toward her or pity for the baby—whatever the reason—she didn't want to get tangled in it.
Talia could still hear Thalia's sarcastic words echoing in her ears. She had no intention of being brought up in their conversations ever again.
