Chapter 103
The room was quiet when we returned. The soft rustle of the curtains and the distant crash of ocean waves through the open balcony doors were the only sounds. I glanced at Lily, who was scrolling through her small bag, humming quietly to herself.
"I'm going out with Nanny Sophie," she said after a moment. "She promised to take me to the sandcastle spot again. Can I?"
"Of course," I said, smoothing her hair. "Be careful. And listen to Sophie and the bodyguards."
"I will!" she grinned.
Logan stood up and helped her with her sandals. "Text me if you need anything."
"I don't have a phone," she said, giggling.
"Then tell Sophie to text me," he replied, tugging one of her curls. "I'll be waiting."
She left a few minutes later with the temporary nanny and two quiet bodyguards trailing behind her. The door closed with a soft click.
Silence settled between us again, but this time it felt peaceful. Logan walked back to the sofa and sat beside me. His presence alone was enough to ease the tension
