Haley's POV:
Logan’s shadow fell over me before I even saw him. I felt the familiar heat of his presence before I heard him speak. Warm hands slid around my waist, firm but gentle, pulling me back until I was pressed against the solid wall of his chest.
His cologne — that faint mix of cedar and something darker — curled through my senses, and I had to steady my breath.
“What’s going on here?” he asked, his voice low and teasing, eyes flicking between me and my team.
