The tension in the air was quite evident. Every movement I made, every word I spoke, felt like it was being watched. I had to be on edge. Even in my own home I was so uncomfortable and I couldn't help but always being alert, as I did the chores of my day. Moreover, my mother-in-law wasn’t done with me yet, "Haley, Joey isn't feeling well yet. You have to prepare light and nutritious meals for her. So, she could recover faster." She was ordering me around and when I looked into her eyes as she said that, I knew I had no other choice but to do it.
