Abigail was already backed into a corner by Quentin.
Mia kept glancing between the two of them, completely unsure of where to look. Honestly, she felt like she shouldn't even be standing there. She thought that perhaps hiding under the car would've been better.
"Um, I'm gonna run to the restroom," she said. She made her escape with the go-to excuse and bolted from the scene. Her number one rule for surviving the workplace was to keep her head down and ignore what wasn't her business, rather than seek out conflicts.
"I'm Abigail Parker. Stop calling me Ms. Handbag. And thanks for what you did back at the bar. Let's just say I owe you one, okay?" Abigail said.
Quentin nodded slightly. "Sure. But don't you think that 'Ms. Handbag' sounds much cuter?"
Abigail rolled her eyes without even trying to hide it. "No, I don't. If you like the name so much, call someone else that. Leave me out of it. I don't like it. No, I actually hate it.
