Samuel's gaze darkened as he watched the painfully scripted performance. Without a word, he turned to leave, only to be stopped by Matthew, who shot him a meaningful glance before letting go of his arm.
Elijah instantly felt emboldened. With his confidence restored, he straightened up and declared, "At this point, the evidence is clear and everything that needed to be checked has been checked. Miss, we'll need you to come with us now. Please don't make things difficult. We're just doing our job."
Gianna could no longer hold back her smile, but the moment she met Matthew's gaze, it vanished into thin air.
"Hold on," Matthew interrupted. "Just because the surveillance footage is gone doesn't mean there aren't other clues."
Abigail thought to herself that there was still one thing that could easily prove her innocence—fingerprint analysis.
If she had put the pills there as they claimed, there would still be traces of her fingerprints left behind.
