Vivian watched as the two security guards escorted Bud away.
Once they had gone far enough, she finally withdrew her gaze. It was only then that she felt herself completely calm.
Turning around, she glanced at the large tree again.
At that moment, a beam of sunlight broke through the clouds and seemed to fall directly onto the tree. It was as if a voice was urging her to approach. She closed her eyes.
Her mind replayed the surveillance footage she had seen over two years ago. The place where her parents had disappeared in the surveillance footage was indeed at the midway point of the mountain.
