Carol’s POV Aiden pulled out his phone immediately after I told him it was Morgan who had me kidnapped. I wasn’t sure what he was doing or who he was calling, but my heart thudded against my chest wildly with fear as he pressed the phone to his cheek. “Oliver,” he greeted into the phone. “I need you to look for Morgan Leveau…” he paused, and I waited with bated breath. “Yeah, she was the one who kidnapped Carol…” Another pause. “I’m not sure, but I’m going to find out.” He hung up without another word. He narrowed his eyes at me; he didn’t look angry with me but with this situation. I could see the worry outlining his eyes and it made the knot in my stomach tighten. “What exactly did she do to you?” He asked me with so much seriousness in his tone, I flinched. I shook my head. “Nothing honestly. It wasn’t her that did anything. Her goons were the ones who manhandled me and drugged me,” I told him, wincing at the pained expression that crossed his features. “Morgan only
