Carol’s POV As soon as we landed, Aiden called his mother to check on his father’s condition. He was out of surgery, and it went well, but they are still monitoring him. His recovery is up in the air until he wakes up. Since he’s freshly out of surgery, they aren’t allowing any visitors right now, so we decided not to go to the hospital right away. I wasn’t really sure what to expect when arriving at the Capitol. I already knew it was a beautiful place and it reminded me of Washington DC with its buildings and open historical fields.
