Tessa gritted her teeth against the pain in her back and slowly stood up, her eyes filled with resentment. She hated Bella. If it weren't for her, how could everything have ended like this? She hated Sebastian and Ronald too. They claimed to love her, yet they had hurt her so easily. Her words enraged both men. Their faces darkened, terrifyingly so, but as they looked at her, their expressions suddenly twisted into smiles. "Tess," Sebastian said, "you'll pay for what you've done." He didn't press her further. After one long, piercing look, he delivered that single line and turned to leave. Ronald followed. They didn't need to deal with Tessa themselves. Someone else would handle it. The urgent matter now was finding Bella. But they quickly discovered that almost no one knew where she had gone. Her parents were divorced. Abandoned as a child, she had never kept in touch with them. She didn't have many friends. The closest people to her while growing up had been Sebastian and Rona
