Chapter 14
Seeing Ivy, Julian's eyes widened. His fist halted in midair, and he couldn't help but roar, "Ivy, why are you protecting him? What am I to you?"
"A complete stranger, of course." Ivy didn't hesitate for a second. Then, she turned back to check Lucas' injuries worriedly.
Lucas had pale skin, which formed a stark contrast to his ghastly bruises. His usually handsome face now seemed broken and almost delicate.
He held her hand and shook her head. "I'm fine. Don't worry."
But as he said so, he accidentally tugged at the wound on his lip and gasped at the sharp sting.
Ivy frowned deeper with worry. She carefully stroked the injury on his face and gently blew on it with incredible tenderness.
Seeing that, Julian's expression darkened. The air around him grew heavier and more oppressive. He snatched her wrist and hissed in a harsh, commanding voice, "He's faking it! I'm injured too, so you should come with me to tend to my wounds!"
