As she was talking to Myles, the sound of her phone vibrating came from Lexie's pocket.
Seeing the contents of the text message, Lexie looked stunned.
"What's wrong?"
[Nothing, spam, don't you have a legal aid to do? Go on.]
Myles glanced at his watch, "Okay, then, I'll talk to Flora about it some other time, I think you need help if you really do that."
After Myles left, Lexie re-scrolled her phone and frowned slightly at the contents of the text message.
The text message was from Alan.
"Stay put from work and I will pick you up."
If it wasn't for the text message memo name, it would be hard for her to believe that these were the words Alan would have said.
"I have a meeting this afternoon and will be leaving work later than usual, so I won't bother you."
Alan did not reply after she sent it.
