Drexon's actions throw me off for a second, but I quickly find my balance and continue as if he had not just set off a storm inside me.
"What do you say we go now?" I ask because I want to walk out and clear my mind of everything happening there. He looks at me as if the words from my mouth made no sense, almost as if he is expecting that I say something about what he had done.
"Okay," he responds after a short silence. He took one quick eye sweep around the restaurant, maybe to be sure that the photographers he had paid to hide in plain sight had done their jobs, and then it hit me. The touch on my lips had been so random, and they were not from a place of emotions; it was all a play. This was a setup. He did it to raise the stakes.
