As for Harold's house, Hailey had already sorted it out long ago.
"Okay… I'll stop worrying, then," Eleanor murmured, her voice soft and nearly defeated.
Hannah said, "Great. No more meddling, Mom. We're not kids anymore. You and Dad should just take it easy and let us handle our lives."
She turned to her phone and dialed Harold's number.
"Hey, Hannah," he answered.
"Harry, I ordered takeout. Come back for lunch soon, okay?"
But he said, "Leave me be, Hannah. I'm eating out. I'll be back later."
She replied, "Alright, fine. Call me if you need anything."
"Got it, Hannah."
They quickly ended the call. "Harry's not coming back for lunch. Let him roam a bit and clear his mind. These past few days have been tough on us all."
Eleanor just nodded silently. Even Harold, always so obedient, was drifting away now. Maybe she truly needed to back off. The more she interfered, the more she pushed everyone away.
