"Yarrick, were you at the hospital all night? I woke up, and you weren't here." Yarrick stared at Michael's message, inwardly wincing. Technically, he had been at someone's bedside but not at a hospital. And yes, it was quite literally by their bedside with someone curled up in his arms the entire night. The entire night. Yarrick tentatively typed out, "My relative was discharged. I didn't have much else to do, so I stayed to take care of him." He wasn't ready to tell Michael about Hailey. Not yet, at least. He'd wait a little longer. And to avoid raising any questions with Michael, he changed "her" to "him" in the message. "Oh, when are you coming back, then? It's the weekend.
