The dress was from Maxwell. But what was with this note's slightly domineering tone? Was he planning to brand Reyna with his name or something?
The thought left Reyna feeling uneasy. She made her way to the unit across hers without thinking, then rang Maxwell's doorbell. If he thought he could impress her with a fancy dress, he was wrong.
However, no one answered the door, even though the doorbell had been ringing for a while.
Reyna fished out her phone and called Maxwell. "Mr. Hamilton, I appreciate the gesture, but I'm more than capable of picking out a dress for the dinner party. I'll return this one to you."
She sounded cold and stiff on the other end of the phone, but Maxwell paid no mind to her tone as he quipped, "I'm a little busy right now, so I can't get the door. You can let yourself in if you're in such a hurry to return the dress."
