"Then, why…" Theo was even more puzzled.
"Because if I take it now, it's neither earned nor justified." Her voice dropped, carrying a sharp edge.
She explained, "If I take it now, what does that make me? A long-lost daughter who happened to be found after years, riding on her grandpa's affection and her brother's protection, getting everything without lifting a finger.
