Blair's heart skipped a beat. Thinking of John, her good mood quickly faded. She forced a smile. "No. Why do you ask?" The traffic light turned green. Alexander kept his eyes on the road and replied casually, "I was just wondering." Blair felt something was off but couldn't quite put her finger on it. Soon, the car pulled up to campus. She got out and waved goodbye. Just as she turned to leave, her shoulder bag nearly slipped off. She tightened her grip before closing the door, her eyes flickering with unease. She wasn't naive.
