Adam glanced at John and let out a chuckle. "Could you say that again? I didn't quite catch it." John licked his lips and repeated what he'd said. Adam nodded, pretending to agree. He then gave John a firm pat on the shoulder. "You're from the Cooke family, right? Good. I'll remember that." Suddenly, his voice turned icy. "So, are you going to leave on your own, or should I call your family to come get you?" John assumed Adam was speaking to Alexander. Thus, he rolled up his sleeves, ready to step in.
