Chapter 160
Last night, Jonathan had suddenly dragged me to Willowcreek, and the two of us had had a pretty bad fight.
Then he left me here and disappeared.
I still didn't know where he'd gone, or how I was supposed to get back.
I sighed and said, "I'm not at the hotel anymore."
"What?" Frederick sounded surprised. "When did you leave? Why didn't you tell me?"
He probably thought I'd left that morning. I could only shake my head and say, "It's a long story. You should head back for now. I'll call you if anything comes up."
He sounded like he still wanted to say something, but in the end, he just let it go. "Alright, I'll hang up then."
After the call ended, I flopped back onto the big bed.
I thought I could fall back asleep for a bit, but no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't. Frustrated, I raked a hand through my tangled hair and threw the covers off.
