Jonathan had suddenly appeared behind me. Startled, I turned around instinctively, and our faces brushed against each other. The foreign touch made me purse my lips together tightly, and I quickly took a step back to put some distance between us. This obvious action made Jonathan frown deeply. "What were you looking for? Hand it over," he demanded as he stepped closer, his hand outstretched. I shook my head and hid the prenuptial agreement behind my back. "It's just a document." "You should just rest at home. Work can wait," he said, seemingly believing me. He retracted his hand and continued, "The secretary will take care of this paperwork."
