Of course, I jumped right into the brawl too.
Honestly, I'd never experienced anything this intense before. I'd always been a good girl. I never got into fights, and rarely clashed with anyone.
My nails had split in two places, but oddly enough, I felt exhilarated. Even a deep scratch on my arm barely registered. I just wiped it off casually and dove back into the fight.

He didn't have to raise his voice. The weight behind it was enough to freeze the room solid.
