After what felt like an eternity, Victoria regained consciousness in the bone-chilling cold. She struggled to open her eyes. Everything was blurry before her. The burlap sack was suffocatingly hot and reeked of blood. The metallic smell nearly choked her. Gritting her teeth, she used every ounce of strength to break free from the sack's binding and finally crawled out. The warehouse was empty except for her. Jason was gone, and Sophia was nowhere to be seen. Only she had been left behind. Victoria coughed, tasting rust in her throat. With trembling hands, she reached for her pocket, wanting to call her parents to come get her. Jason was insane, and Sophia was no better.
