"I got him!" Nick yelled as he ran past me in human form to pick Brett up and carry him into the house. I dropped my head on my paws with a sigh. I'm so glad Nick was there to pick up where I left off. I felt a thousand times better knowing Brett was with Dr. Billings. Lying for a while to catch my breath, I tried to get up again. That's when I realized my injured leg is what gave out on me. The searing pain that shot up my leg had we grounded once again.
