Chapter 9
Mason' POV
A light kiss on the forehead wasn't going to matter much to her. And so is it. I placed a gentle kiss on the crown of her head and she blushed.
The media presenters were in awe and filled with surprises. I held onto her thin waist as they clicked pictures.
We went through different poses, and finally, seeing that it was all done and there was no need to entertain them anymore,
I held onto my wife as we strutted inside the moderately lit hotel. I slowed down my pace, knowing fully well that my lady could be clumsy at any moment.
Getting towards the hall for the banquet, I felt her tighten her grip on my hand, and I gave her a small but reassuring pat on the back of her palm.
I reassured her that I wouldn't be letting her off to her ex to bully. It's funny how I finally met her but in the worst condition.
It hurts to see someone you've always cared about get backstabbed and betrayed by the person she'd always thought of.
