Chapter 16

Dalton stared disappointedly at Mike, whose face had different bruises. He had been lying on the bed for two days now.   The night after everyone had left the bar, Natasha Martinez managed to track down Mike's location, and shockingly, he was pathetically lying on the ground, bruised and drunk.     Natasha, nonetheless, could not understand why Mike didn't pay for a VIP room; after all, almost everyone in the city knew his identity, and coming out without any disguise or bodyguards was no different from a suicide mission.     Not pondering too much into it, she had the guards drag him to the car and directly take him to his parent's home, where he'll get treated in secret.     To protect her 'future' husband's reputation, Natasha Martinez convinced her dad to help make sure no picture or video of Mike in that condition gets leaked to the outside world.     "What is wrong with you, Mike? Why can't you just focus on running the company?"     He yelled, but Mike didn't even look affected.
