Chapter 207
A loud thump and a crash from next door pulled him out of his spiraling thoughts. He heard a muttered curse and smiled. He had never realized just how thin these walls were before Lisa moved in, but then he’d had no reason to eavesdrop on his neighbors before either. He stepped closer to the common wall, trying to hear more of whatever was going on. He told himself it was just because he wanted to make sure she was okay. It had been a loud thump, after all, maybe she had fallen over and hurt herself. Would she yell out to him if she was injured and couldn’t get up?
