Chapter 8-6

Yawning loudly, exhaustion finally hit as I stumbled into my ensuite to take a quick shower. Turning it on to warm up, I stripped away all of my damp clothing and chucked them into the hamper in the corner to wash tomorrow. Slipping into the now steaming hot water, I relished the feeling for a few minutes before picking up and squeezing some shampoo into the palm of my hand. Gently massaging it into my still rather tender scalp, I washed out the suds and repeated the process just to ensure that it was fully clean. Once it was fully rinsed I grabbed the conditioner and used about four times the recommended amount to lather through my hair. I was going to try and attempt to brush it properly afterwards and in my mind, more conditioner the better. After using the shower-gel to scrub away all traces of remaining grunge and sweat from my body, I stood beneath the stream for a few more minutes to sooth my aching muscles before deciding that it was time to get out.
